ELECTRICAL STIMULATION THERAPY
At New Heights Chiropractic & Wellness, we offer a neuromuscular electric stimulation treatment as a way to help provide our patients with pain relief and healing. Electric stim uses electrical pulses that help stimulate nerves and muscles which can help reduce pain. Depending on the patient, Dr. Stef, may incorporate light exercise or movements during the stim treatment. This provides additional benefits like increased blood flow to the injured area while moving naturally.
Benefits of Stim Treatment
During electrical stim treatment, the muscles and nerves are stimulated to increase blood flow to the injured area. This additional blood flow can help accelerate healing while reducing pain and inflammation. This form of therapy is also known to help improve range of motion if your muscles are tense. In our chiropractic office, we utilize the Phoenix Waveform device since it’s a product we trust to help our patients recover through electrical stim treatment.
